STM 60 Year Anniversary Cookbook
October is World Mission Month, a time when Catholics all over the world join to support and celebrate global missionary work.
This year our 5/6 students participated in Socktober. The 5/6 students worked together to support vulnerable children in Thailand. Traditionally we hold our Mini Mission Fete to raise money for this cause in early Term 4. This was not possible this year due to COVID restrictions, so our 5/6 students put together a STM 60 Year Anniversary Cookbook to raise money for The Good Shepherd Sisters Kindergarten Centre in Bangkok.
The Kindergarten provides an education for children whose families can’t afford to send them to school and caters for the essential needs of these children. The Kindergarten also allows the parents of the children to work and earn a living while their children are being cared for. We have been lucky enough to receive an ACT Children’s Week Grant to help with the publishing costs of the cookbook. We are hoping through the sales of our cookbook to raise enough money to fund some meals or school supplies for the children of the Good Shepherd Sister Kindergarten Centre in Bangkok.
The Cookbook will be available for purchase on the QKR App. The Cookbook is priced at $30.00 per book or 2 for $50.00. It would make an ideal Christmas gift.
