Term Events
We have collated a list of Term Events for you to keep handy. We look forward to celebrating a number of events this term whilst taking into consideration the current environment with COVID. These measures will involve events being held outdoors.
Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Survey
We would like to thank the 60 families who completed the Tell Them From Me Survey last term. The survey has provided us with an informative data set that identifies areas of success in our school community and considerations for improvement. We were overwhelmed by the positive sentiments of our families in relation to the school community, improved grounds and quality of teaching and learning.
We want to assure you that there were no areas for improvement that we were not aware of including improved communication and social issues that some grades are facing. We will provide feedback on the use of Compass to Catholic Education as this is a systemic application.
Enrolments for 2023
Do you know of anyone moving to Canberra or looking for a new school that you could suggest St Thomas More’s too? We are continuing to accept enrolments for 2023 in all year levels and would love the opportunity to meet these families and give them a tour of our school.
Alternatively, you may be a family who is moving interstate next year or choosing another school for your child. It is important that the school receives the notification of these changes by the end of this week as Catholic Education will make funding decisions based on our projected enrolments. Please complete the paper note sent home last week if your child will not be returning to St Thomas More’s in 2023.
Year 5/6 Camp
In consultation with our camp provider, The Tops, and Catholic Education we are pleased to announce that the 5/6 Camp scheduled for Wednesday 14 - Friday 16 September will proceed. Permission slips and relevant forms will be sent via Compass and school bags in the coming days.
Catholic Parents Survey
Catholic School Parents Australia (CSPA) is conducting a survey of Catholic School parents on student Wellbeing and Learning. The survey will be used to report to the Federal Government and Catholic Education. We encourage parents to have their voice by 31 August by following this link.
