Disco - Save the Date!
We are excited to announce that our school disco is fast approaching on June 8, from 6:00pm till 7:00pm! It will be an evening filled with fun and excitement for our students. Tickets are now available for purchase at a cost of $10 per student or $20 per family via Qkr!
A big thank you to 3/4W and TeamKids for organizing. We would encourage families in 3/4W to contact Miss McQuirk or Paris Dounoukous if you are free to assist on the night. Need some well-deserved relaxation while your kids have a blast?
We recommend booking your children into TeamKids for the afternoon as they will be able to sign your children into the disco leaving you with the whole afternoon and evening to relax!
Finance Transformation - Important Reminder
A reminder to all families that the deadline for making payments to the current bank account is this Friday as we prepare for the Finance Transformation on June 1. We understand that there are fee statements with an alternative due date of Friday 26 May. If you have an alternative due date and would prefer to wait, we would ask that you refrain from making any payment until the new system is in place.
Rostrum Final - Congratulations!
Congratulations to all the students who participated in our School Rostrum final on Monday. We were so impressed by your ability to deliver high-quality speeches with confidence and enthusiasm. We want to give special recognition to Cillian and Darcy. Cillian was announced as the winner and will represent the school at the Quarter Finals in July. Darcy was announced as the runner-up and will step up should Cillian be unavailable for the Quarter Finals. Well done to Cillian, Darcy and all of the students who prepared speeches for Rostrum.

Religious Education News
Centred In Faith Gatherings
Thank you to 5/6G who led our Centred In Faith Gathering last Friday. The students from 5/6 spoke to us about how, when we wear the shoes of peace, we are also ready to share the good news of Jesus with others. They reminded us that we can be a light to our friends and family by sharing our love for Jesus and showing others how to have peace in their hearts too.
Our next Centred in Faith Gathering will be run by Miss Tozer where she will unpack the theme of Reconciliation with the Gang Gang Gang and her class.
Parish Mass
Kindergarten and 5/6 W will attend our Parish Mass on Friday 2nd June at 10:00am. Family members of students in these classes are welcome to attend.
Sacrament of First Holy Communion
We have a number of children preparing for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. If you would still like to enrol your child to prepare for the Sacrament please contact the Parish directly campbell@cg.org.au. The Celebration of the Sacrament will take place at the 9:30 am Mass on Sunday 18th of June. A retreat day will be held at school on Wednesday 14th of June for the candidates.
Yours in Christ,

On 5/5/2023 our School Captains and Defence Captains from year six attended the Australian War Memorial to commemorate the Battle of the Coral Sea. The Battle of the Coral Sea, from 4 to 8 May 1942, was a major naval battle between the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) and naval and air forces of the United States and Australia. Taking place in the Pacific Theatre of World War II, the battle is significant as it was the world's first naval action in which the opposing fleets neither sighted nor fired upon one another, attacking over the horizon from aircraft carriers instead. In Defence club during the month of May we have been decorating crowns for the King's coronation and making Mother's Day craft. We also had fun playing outdoor games and beading.
