We would like to announce that Mrs Christine Washington has made the decision to retire at the end of 2023. Chris will take some well deserved time with her husband Michael before returning as a relief teacher to St Thomas More’s. Chris has contributed so much to our school community in her time at with us and will particularly be remembered for the strong connections she forms with students and parents.

Term Three Fees
We would ask that all families finalise their fees for Term Three this week. Payment can now be made via credit card through our eftpos machine or over the phone. Our other preferred method of payment is via Bpay.
Dance Display
The students had their first whole school rehearsal of our Dance Display this morning. The Dance Display will be held on Wednesday 11 October from 6:00pm. Students will need to arrive at 5:30pm and parents will be able to enjoy grazing platters and a catch up in the library courtyard before the show commences!
Colour Run
We are now looking for sponsors for our Colour Run which will be launching at the beginning of next term. The Colour Run is our major fundraiser at St Thomas More’s and will go towards the purchase of our new playground equipment. If you know of a business who is able to donate money or prizes, in exchange for advertising, please get in contact with the front office. Sponsors will need to commit by 10 October.

Year 5.6 Camp 2023 was an amazing time. We stepped out of our comfort zones and our theme for the 3 days was initiative. How can we show initiative, how can we take initiative and how does initiative help us to become effective leaders? We are already looking forward to our 2024 camp!

What a successful term 3. We wish everyone a very happy and safe spring holiday break. Next Term we are running Defence club on Wednesday at lunch as well as our new wellbeing drop in club for year 5 and 6 students on Friday at lunch. We have a new display in the learning support wellbeing room which students have given very positive feedback!
