On Thursday last week, 35 students from years 2 – 6 represented St. Thomas More’s Primary at the North Gungahlin District Athletics Carnival. The students competed in track and field events at the AIS on a beautiful sunny day. These students had earned their position to represent our school at our school Athletics carnival earlier in the year and have been training hard in their play times in the weeks leading up to the big day. Ms. Fagan, Ms. Strmota and all the families who joined us were impressed and proud by the courage, enthusiasm and sportsmanship we observed. All the athletes should be very pleased with their results, and a special congratulations to Alyssa from 5/6G, Lily from 5/6W and Alannah from 3/4W for qualifying for the state carnival in shot put.
