Disco Wrap Up
The school was a hub of excitement on Thursday night as we celebrated our school disco. The following day I visited each classroom to provide our staff with a copy of the quote below and a token of our appreciation for them volunteering their time to supervise the event. Changes in policy meant the disco could not take place without the generosity of our staff and I know you would join me in affirming them for helping our community build a sense of belonging.
However, it wasn't just the staff who made the event a success, it was all members of our community. Our fantastic 3/4 parent volunteers, led by Shelle, ensured the kids were fed, entertained at stations and that the decorations were on point. Teamkids came to the party with DJ's, dancing, face painting and glow sticks and our wonderful partnership with our parish, led by Jo, was strengthened with their generous donation of wine and cheese for our parents to socialise in the parish centre.
Thank you to all of the members of our community who made such an incredible night possible for our students and parents. We look forward to continuing this renewed format in 2026!

Colour Run
Our Colour Run will be held next Thursday from 2pm. The students will gather in the hall for a prize draw before heading out to the oval for the fun to begin. At 2:50 we will come into the courtard to have an ice block and prepare to head off for the school holidays!
We encourage you all to continue giving generously to our Vinnies Pantry and Back to School drive. The students have been so motivated by giving to those in need.
Masterplan
It has come to our attention that the Masterplan was unintentionally removed from the website. It has now been added back and can be found here: https://www.stmore.act.edu.au/masterplan
We are in initial discussions with Catholic Education to commence with stage one of the masterplan which would be the building of our future admin block above the basketball court. The building will initially be 4 classrooms to enabe the remainder of the stages to be completed with continuity of learning for students.
5/6 Camp 2025
Our senior students were full of excitement this morning as they packed the bus and made their way to The Tops in Stanwell Tops for 3 days of challenging themselves as individuals, team building and reflecting on the impact of their leadership at the school. Thank you to Mrs McPadden for her coordination of this event and to Mr West, Miss Byrnes and Miss O'Donnell for giving up their time, and potentially sleep, to attend. We know this experience will be transformational for the students!

This morning our K-4 classes rehearsed the Whole School Auslan performance for our Dance Display which has been rescheduled for Thursday 30 October. In 3/4 White, we have been exploring the Water Cycle during our science lessons. Students have been learning and applying key scientific terminology such as precipitation, condensation, evaporation, temperature, weather, climate, and atmosphere. As part of their homework projects, they are researching the Water Cycle in different geographic regions around the world, including the Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand, the Sahara Desert, and the Great Barrier Reef.
On Friday, following our lesson and experiment on precipitation, students enjoyed an interactive educational game focused on the Water Cycle and how water is delivered to homes.
