Dear Parents and Carers,
St Thomas More Feast Day
We are looking forward to celebrating our Feast Day on Friday. We begin this day with Mass at 9:30am. All parents and carers are warmly invited to attend. Thank you in advance to the Kinder and Yr 1 parents who will be cooking the sausage sizzle for lunch. Our activities for the remainder of the day will be STEM-based, with the Yr 5/6 students taking on a leadership role.
Parent/Teacher Interviews
Reports go home on Friday. Parent/Teacher Interviews will be on Tuesday and Wednesday of Week 10. Bookings will be online via the link in next week's More News.
Awards Assembly
There will be no awards assembly this Friday due to our STM Feast Day Mass.
Save the Date
Our Grandparent’s Day is on Friday, July 26 at 8:50am. Grandparents are invited into classrooms to see their grandchildren working and even share with the class some stories from their own school days! At 9:45am grandparents are welcome to a special morning tea.
Yours sincerely,
Julie Wiley
Principal.
Book Covering Volunteers
I recently purchased a range of new books with our SCHOLASTIC BOOKCLUB reward points and they have just arrived to our school Library. If you have an hour free on Tuesday 2nd July (Week 10), please join me for book covering and morning tea.
When: Tuesday 2nd July from 9am
Where: School Library
RSVP: madeleine.reid@cg.catholic.edu.au
If you can’t make it to the morning tea, but would still like to help, please send me an email. I have 3 ‘book packs’ organised. They include 9 books and pre-cut contact to take home over the school holidays.
Thanks,
Madeleine Reid

SVdP Winter Clothing Appeal
If you have good quality winter clothing that is outgrown or not worn anymore, or blankets/doonas/bed linen that are not used, you may want to donate them to the SVdP Winter Clothing Appeal. Bags and a note were sent home at the beginning of this week. Donations can be given to the Front Office until 26 June (Wednesday Week 9).
Winter Woollies for SVdP Night Patrol Van
All classes are invited to donate winter woollies to help support the SVdP Night Patrol Van who are always struggling to have enough to give particularly during winter months (men’s items is what is most needed):
Kinder/Year 1/Year 2 – new socks
3/4 and 5/6 – new gloves
Collection boxes for donations are in each classroom. If you would prefer to donate a different item than allocated to your class (ie scarves or beanies), that is absolutely fine. All donations will be very gratefully received.
Mini Vinnies Meeting
Our next Mini Vinnies Meeting will be held on Thursday 27 June (Week 9) after eating time at lunchtime in the hall. We are lucky to have the Night Patrol Van visit us for this meeting where we will also present our donations to them.
