Principal's Report
Campbell Community Celebration
The school is sure to be a hive of excitement on Friday evening as we open our doors for our friends, family and the wider community to gather for the inaugural Campbell Community Celebration. Bring the kids for dinner at one of our 5 food vans, keep them entertained with glitter tattoos, face painting and colouring in; and more importantly settle back and enjoy the entertainment that is sure to come from the ADFA Band. We look forward to celebrating with you all on Friday from 5:30pm.
School Photos
Our annual school photos will be held on Tuesday 31 October from the commencement of the school day. Payment for photos will open at the beginning of next week on Compass. Students will wear their full school uniform on this day.
Uniform Reminder - Runners and Hair
We have had a number of students wearing white or coloured runners to school on school uniform days. Whilst we understand that finding runners for sports days in white is difficult and will allow some colour on sports days, the school uniform must be worn with black leather shoes, including black leather runners. Runners with any other colour are not part of the school uniform so we would ask that families rectify this. We would also ask that all hair that is below shoulder length is tied using school colours.
Parent Engagement Grant - Community Garden Bed
With the vast number of events currently taking place, we have decided to attach the construction of our community garden beds to the day of our Mission Fete and Colour Run on Friday 3 November from 9:00-11:00am. We will be calling for parents to engage in this exciting opportunity to develop sustainable practices and increase opportunities for parent engagement in our community.
Colour Run
Our Colour Run has now been launched with sponsor envelopes sent home yesterday and our $5 per raffle ticket payment on Qkr!. Money can be returned on the following three Thursdays and Qkr! payments can be made at any time. Our funds will go towards the upgrade of our senior playground equipment with 10% of proceeds being donated to Catholic Missions.
Kindergarten Orientation
Next Wednesday we will be welcoming our Kindergarten students for 2024 for their orientation morning from 9:00-11:00am. We have at least 16 new families joining our school community in 2024 so its will be a wonderful opportunity for us to share all that we do here at St Thomas More's.
