Book Week

There was a lot of magic in the air on Monday at our Book Week Parade. The children looked marvellous. It was great hearing all about their characters. Thank you to family members who watched the parade and those who grew in courage to dress up and be part of the parade. Thank you for all that you did to ensure your child was part of this celebration of reading.

Last night families joined us in the library to snuggle up and read with a good book. It was a lovely evening, and we thank those who could attend.

Tomorrow we welcome a visiting author, Catherine Meatheringham who will share her love of books, writing and tell us about the magic of reading for her. Each class will participate in a workshop with Catherine.

Attendance

It is a legal requirement that parents and carers inform us of their child’s absence. We ask that you do this using the COMPASS app as close as you can to the day of absence. Thank you for your assistance with this.

Open Classrooms Friday August 30^th

You are invited to visit your child’s/children’s classrooms on the morning of Friday August 30^th between 9am and 10am. The children are looking forward to showing you their learning, how they have achieved MORE and celebrate how they have grown.

Wellbeing Week – Week 7

As part of our school wellbeing week initiative, we will be providing the children with some time to celebrate their learning and growth. We are asking children to wear a special hat on Tuesday September 3^rd. This can be one they already have, one they have decorated or created themselves. We would love to see some original ideas! We have a few other plans for the day that we will keep as a happy surprise.
