First Reconciliation
I would like to congratulate all our children who have completed the Sacramental Program for Reconciliation recently! It was a deeply prayerful and personal penitential service, of which, I’m sure our children will not forget. There are a lot of people to thank for allowing this program to come to its fruition on Saturday.
Firstly, I would like to thank all of our parents and caregivers who have put in a lot of time and effort into helping prepare our children for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It has been a privilege for me to journey with you and your children through the preparation for Reconciliation. I look forward to journeying with you through the preparation for First Holy Communion next year!
Another thanks goes to our dedicated staff at STMPS. In particular I would like to thank Mrs Donna Victory and Mrs Christine Washington for their dedicated and wholehearted contribution to our children’s preparation. Our children were not only very well prepared for the sacrament, but they all felt very affirmed and encouraged that they were undertaking this step in their faith journey. This wouldn’t be possible without your contribution! Also I would like to thank Mr Christopher Evans, our Parish Sacramental Coordinator, for his contribution to our preparation program as well. To Fathers Emil Milat and Bernie Patterson our Parish Priest and Emeritus Parish Priest for their contribution to our special day as well.
On a side note, I would like to thank all the parents for their very generous contributions to our morning tea! There was such a beautiful array of food provided to celebrate First Reconciliation that we celebrated in style! So well in fact, that I’m feeling my belt is a bit tight since this morning tea! Thank you!First Holy Communion
Our next Sacrament that we will be preparing for will be the Sacrament of the Eucharist. It is here that our children will be able to receive their first Holy Communion. This program is available for children in Years 3 and up. Registration and the first week of formation for this sacrament is Sunday 5th May. The celebration of the First Holy Communion (Eucharist) will be Sunday 30th June 2019. If you have any question regarding First Holy Communion please don’t hesitate to contact me on the details below.
Palm Sunday
This Sunday we have our Palm Sunday Mass celebrating Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem and thus beginning our Holy Week. Mass begins in the school courtyard and then we process from the Courtyard to the Church. It is a great Mass for kids as there are a lot of things for them to do and it’s something different from our normal proceedings of Mass. Again, you are most welcome!
Mass begins at 9.30 in the school courtyard.
