School Rosary
The month of October each year is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. The liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated annually on October 7. The Most Holy Rosary is one of the best known of all Catholic devotions.
Our senior classes gathered with Father Emil and Rossen, our Youth Minister to recite the Rosary this afternoon. Father Emil explained to us that the Rosary draws its mysteries from the New Testament and is centered on the great events of the Incarnation and Redemption with each decade referring to an event in the life of Jesus and Mary.
Sacrament of Confirmation
It was a pleasure to celebrate with those students who were confirmed on Sunday. Thank you to Father Josh, Father Emil, Rossen, our Youth Minister, Mrs Washington, and Mrs Poole who prepared the children to receive the Sacrament. Much of this preparation was undertaken last Thursday at our Confirmation Retreat Day and on Friday when they attended our 10am Parish Mass. During the retreat day, all of our 5/6 students were given the opportunity to stop and think about their relationship with God and how this relationship effects and inspires other relationships in their lives. The students participated in deep reflection, engaging activities, group discussions, and a celebration of Mass.
Yours in Christ
