School Uniform - Incorrect Sports Polo

With winter approaching we have seen students arrive wearing the long sleeve version of our new sports uniform. Unfortunately, this has resulted in the identification of an incorrect uniform being sold by the provider Chilada at Majura Park. 

Our preferred provider, Lowes, continued the green and maroon sleeves when they designed the long sleeve version of the uniform, however, Chilada created their own version with only maroon in the long sleeve. This uniform is incorrect.

To rectify this issue, Chilada has offered to tailor the incorrect long sleeve uniform to a short sleeve version. As this will result in the students no longer having a long sleeve polo for the winter, the school is happy for parents to action this request after next term. 

Whilst Chilada will continue to stock the school's uniform we would note that Lowes is our preferred provider as they sell uniforms of higher quality with accuracy in colour tones and embroidering of the school logo. 

NAPLAN 2022

Congratulations to our Year 3 and 5 students who sat NAPLAN for the first time last week, you might remember that the Year 5 students had NAPLAN cancelled when they were in Year 3. Our students were all calm and settled for the testing and we know they gave it their best.

Safety in the Carpark

It has come to our attention that there have been children moving through the carpark unattended, resulting in a serious safety incident potentially occurring. It is imperative that students remain with their parents whilst moving between the school and carpark. Let's work together to ensure our children are safe at all times.

Catholic Education Report Card on Major Parties

Catholic education has released a federal election report card assessing the responses from the major political parties on education priorities.

The report card assess the Coalition, Labor and Green’s responses to the priorities of:

· Genuine school choice through fair funding and ensuring affordable contributions from families

· Enabling faith-based education through religious protections

· Improving capital funding

· Support for delivering national priorities such as quality teaching, early childhood education, mental health and wellbeing programs and Closing the gap initiatives for Aboriginal and Torres Islander students

National Catholic Education executive director Jacinta Collins said the report card shows the Liberal National Coalition and Labor are on par in addressing Catholic education’s priorities, particularly on school choice.

“We are fortunate that both major parties continue to support genuine school choice in Australian education and are committed to families who choose a Catholic education for their children,” Ms Collins said.

Responses sought from key independent candidates are also being evaluated.
