Science Fair

Wow! What a fantastic week of celebrating Science and all the amazing learning that can come from this subject. The hall was an absolute buzz of excitement, particularly with Win News interviewing some of our scientists and celebrating our success as the School of the Week. Thank you to all of our parents who helped their children come up with a hypothesis, set up experiments to be conducted and summarise their findings in engaging displays for the fair. We are also very appreciative of Mrs Poole for coordinating the event and making science a focus in our school. Let's all hope that we can have Science Fair in 2023 with our parents in attendance!

Book Week

We are already halfway through our Book Week celebrations however, there are still more events planned including our Book Week Parade on Friday morning. We also look forward to our Snuggle up and Read evening in the library tomorrow night. 

Father's Day Breakfast

All families are welcome to join us next Friday 2 September from 8:00 - 8:45 am for our Father's Day Breakfast. Our 5/6 families will be cooking up a storm as they serve up complimentary bacon and egg rolls! RSVP's for catering via a Google form are due by Tuesday next week. More information can be found in Community News.

Parents are encouraged to Opt-In to the Parent Contact Network using the links below. This link will provide contact details to the Parent Contact Co-ordinator for their child/ren's class. The Parent Contact Co-ordinator will then distribute this information so that families can make social connections outside of school. We would ask that all interested families complete the forms by Friday this week.

K-2 Swimming

We regret to inform our families that the AIS K-2 Swimming Program scheduled for next term will not go ahead. We were informed by the AIS that they are unable to staff the program for 2022 and we have been unable to secure a similar booking at another pool in Canberra at such short notice. 

Christmas Eve Mass

Next week we will be sending out an Expression of Interest for families to be involved in the Christmas Eve Mass with our Parish. We are hoping that have students from our school participate in the nativity and/or perform carols in a choir. We are also wondering if there are any parents who would like to support this with our Parishioners. The mass will be taking place in our school courtyard and will be a lovely parish event to celebrate Christmas.
