Religious Education News Term 1 Week 9

Sacrament of First Holy Communion

The Enrolment Mass for those students wishing to prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of First Holy Communion will take place on Sunday 7th May after the 9:30 am Mass at the Parish. The Celebration of the Sacrament will take place at the 9:30 am Mass on Sunday 18th of June.

Journey with Jesus Retreat

On Friday our Year 5 and 6 students participated in the ‘Journey with Jesus’ Retreat. The day was facilitated by Luke Maher from Catholic Education and a number of Youth Ministers. The retreat focused around equipping each child with a metaphorical ‘backpack of faith’ to take with them on the journey of life. Inside the backpack, they were introduced to some helpful tools they can pull out for the ups and downs, new beginnings and changes like starting high school.

Project Compassion- Sixth Sunday of Lent (Palm Sunday) 1 & 2 April

Every day, more than 200 million children miss out on school, around 690 million people go hungry and 2.2 billion people cannot access clean drinking water. In recent

years, COVID-19 has also devastated vulnerable communities already living in poverty, with the health and economic impacts to reverberate for years to come.

It’s through the generous support of people like you that we are able to continue to help lift vulnerable communities out of poverty  – support that is needed now more than ever.

Thank you for your continued support of Project Compassion – past, present and future. Together, we can help vulnerable communities face their challenges today and build a better tomorrow For All Future Generations.

Please donate to Project Compassion 2023 to help continue empowering vulnerable communities around the world to lift themselves and their communities out of poverty.

Together, we can help vulnerable communities face their challenges today and build a better tomorrow For All Future Generations.
