Canteen - closed for 2 weeks

Last week we sold out of all the items purchased to sell at our canteen and have made the decision not to purchase additional stock until we are able to be informed by the results of the Tell Them From Me survey. In the survey we are asking for families to help decide between over the counter sales of pre-packaged goods or an outsourced canteen that deliver food to school.

St Thomas More's Feast Day

Next Wednesday 21 June we will celebrate St Thomas More's Feast Day. To start the day, Team Kids have organised a coffee van providing free coffee in the carpark from 7:30 am. The children will begin the day by celebrating mass together at 9:30am and we encourage all families to attend. During the middle session, we will engage in multi-age activity groups and will then come together for a special lunch in the courtyard. 

Staffing News - DSM

We are pleased to announce that Mrs Jessie Gepp has been successful in attaining the DSM role to replace Mrs Savida Tanzer. Jess will be a wonderful addition to our staff and we are confident that she will be able to support our defence families well. Jess will be at school every Wednesday to Friday.

Finance Transformation

We would like to thank all of our families for your patience as we have undergone our Finance Transformation. We would also like to acknowledge the hard work of Angela in the Front Office as this directly impacts her work from day to day and she has been the point of call for questions from families whilst still completing all the tasks involved in running the front office of our school. We are so blessed to have Angela on our team. 

We would like to remind you that the best method for paying fees is now Bpay or Credit Card when our EFTPOS machine arrives. Payment over Compass is not preferred as a portion of the payment is retained by Compass. 

Disco

Wow! What a great night on Thursday with 90% of the school attending our school disco run by TeamKids and 3/4White. Thank you to all the parents who coordinated the event and to our last minute volunteers who stepped in due to family illness. We are so lucky to have such an engaged partnership with TeamKids who provided the music, decorations, prizes and supervision on the night. A highlight of the night was our Year 6 leaders taking to the stage to motivate and lead many dances with the younger students. We think this cohort of Year 6's has started a new tradition for years to come!
