Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Parent Survey
The TTFM survey window has closed. All staff and students in Years 4-6 completed the survey. We had 69 of our 111 families complete the survey which is 10 more families than in 2022 and 50 more than in 2021. This is excellent data to show an increased level of parent engagement in our school improvement initiatives and is worth celebrating.
We are waiting for the reports to be made available and will then share insights that have come from the process.
Parent-Teacher Interviews
St Thomas More's Feast Day
The school was a hive of activity today for our St Thomas More's Feast Day. Whilst we were unable to have barista coffee due to the coffee van pipes freezing in the -6 degree weather. However, TeamsKids persisted with delicious treats, hot chocolates and tea and coffee. It was lovely to have around 10 families join us for mass in the Church. Fr Emil. reflected on the life of Thomas More using the analogy of a survival back pack and being equipped with the best tools to navigate our faith.
After recess the students engaged in multiaged group activities and then topped of the fun with a pizza lunch. Thank you to TeamKids, Samantha Mance, Fr. Emil, Ariana Strmota and Angela Kelley for all their organisation of the day.
Winter Appeal
Our winter appeal closes this week. We encourage all families to donate winter warmers to the appeal by Friday of this week.
Staffing News
In the coming weeks, the AP position at St Thomas More’s will be advertised as Nicole Mikkonen has completed a 10-year contract at the school. This is common practice in our system and aligns with the promotions position policy with Catholic Education.
