The students were tasked with writing a narrative this morning, will complete reading and conventions of language tests on Thursday, and will engage in a numeracy assessment on Friday. Absent students will be allowed to complete a make up test next week. Thank you to Gwen Tarleton who has coordinated NAPLAN for 2024.

We will then invite our guests into our classrooms to spend time with the children before heading to the library courtyard for morning tea hosted by our Year 2 families.

The Gang Gang Gang
There has been a lot happening in the Gang Gang Gang. Last year, we were lucky enough to win a $2000 grant from the National Indigenous Australians Agency which has helped the Gang Gang Gang connect with Aaron Chatfield, a Gamilaraay man with deep connections to the Ngunnawal people and Country, to learn more about First Nations culture. The Gang had some questions that they wanted to investigate more about and through the grant money, we’ve been lucky to have Aaron come in and work with us. Last year Aaron, and special guest Ronnie, taught us about boomerangs, ochre, damper making, native plants and their uses, and weaving. Aaron will be back to work with us for three more sessions this term. We can’t wait to see what other activities he has in store for us.
Warm regards,
Karen Tozer
